Coming this summer,
a return to outdoor Shakespeare!

Getting ready, with fingers and toes crossed, for a long-awaited return to live outdoor Shakespeare. Join us this August as we and the West View Hub present Shakespeare's Pericles, an amazing story of enduring hope and love through insurmountable obstacles.

SCSC veteran actors Jeffrey Chips, Christine McGrath, Tracey D. Turner, Bob Colbert will take on nearly 30 roles in an intimate, fast-paced, and interactive adventure that you'll never forget.

And there are Pirates involved!

All performances will be held at Barry G. Schell "Bronx" Field in West View at 2:00 pm and are free and open to the public (donations encouraged). Please provide your own seating.

We will be working with local authorities and health professionals to ensure strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols and will be prepared to make any adjustments and/or accommodations to our plans.

*Note to parents: This production is intended for families and Shakespeare fans (or soon-to-be Shakespeare fans) of all ages. Please be advised that Shakespeare's works are inherently violent and bawdy, and Pericles is no exception.
It is not our desire to push these themes more than we feel is necessary, but to play them as written. We encourage you to read a synopsis or the full play beforehand, introduce it to your children, and contact us with any questions or concerns.
