Junior Division (Grades K-3): Our Junior Division will meet once per week in January and early February and will create a series of clown acts to be performed at the Winter Showcase in February.
Lower Division (Grades 4-8): Students in our Lower Division can choose to do a monologue or scene (with one or two partners) from a Shakespeare play. Students will be assigned a coach who will meet (in-person or via Zoom) for four sessions to schedule at your convenience. All students in the Lower Division are invited to participate in the Pittsburgh Public Theater's annual Shakespeare Scene and Monologue Contest as well as the SCSC Youth Academy Winter Showcase in February.
Upper Division (Grades 9-12): Students in our Lower Division can choose to do a monologue or scene (with one or two partners) from a Shakespeare play. Parental Waivers: Parents will be required to sign a waiver permitting their child to be in our care for three hours each day and a photo waiver saying we can use photos and video of their children and their performances.
COVID-19: We will follow all local and CDC guidelines regarding mask wearing, social distancing, and other Covid-19 prevention measures.
