Steel City Shakespeare Center and the West View Hub enrolled 21 students from grades K-10 in the Youth Shakespeare Club. 11 of these students went on to compete in the Pittsburgh Public Theatre's Shakespeare Scene and Monologue Contest.
Congratulations to Magdalen McDermott and Adelaide Schmich for winning Best Scene in the Lower Division with their scene from The Merchant of Venice.
Congratulations also to Samuel Chips for his honorable mention for Best Monologue in the Lower Division with his monologue from Henry V and to Augustine McDermott and Oren Janaszek for their honorable mention for Best Scene in the Upper Division with their scene from Twelfth Night.
