What Sets Us Apart?

Like other youth theater programs in Pittsburgh, our Youth Academy provides a space for kids of all ages to come together, be creative, explore the art of storytelling through the works of Shakespeare, and find their voice and a sense of belonging among their peers.

Unlike other youth theater programs in Pittsburgh, the SCSC Youth Academy offers programs focused specifically in classical theatre at an affordable cost, relying on financial support through the support of individuals in our community to keep our operations running. Scholarships are available to ensure there is no barrier to entry to any of our programs.

Empowering the Next Generation of Artists

The Steel City Shakespeare Youth Academy was founded in the fall of 2021 as an outgrowth of the success of our youth programs in partnership with the West View Hub.

Our programs are affordable to all who wish to participate, with scholarship funds available.
