Hedda Gabler

Hannah is Steel City's Managing Director, and has been waiting 20 years (no, really) to play Hedda Gabler. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Drama from Indiana University Bloomington (go Hoosiers!) where her mentor once told her she won't truly understand the role of Hedda until at least 40 years old. He was right. Hannah has spent most of her life involved in theatre both on- and offstage in multiple states as an actor, costume designer, director, playwright, educator, and founder/artistic director, but her absolute favorite role is being the mother to Henrik Wilde and Eleanor Jane.  She would like to thank her babies, along with her partner Carl, for their unending support and love. 

She also thanks Jeff for taking a chance on a weird lady who walked in to see a show back in 2022 and has refused to leave Steel City Shakespeare Center ever since. Ella, for bravely wading into one of the most difficult plays to direct, and breathing new life into the fiery story that is just as relevant as it has ever been.  Lastly, Hannah would like to thank the cast and crew for bringing their own truth to these complex characters and making it safe to be vulnerable. 

Berta

Lily is super excited to make her Steel City Shakespeare debut as Berta! She is currently a Junior at Aquinas Academy. When not acting, she enjoys stabbing people (fencing), arguing (mock trial), pleasantly screaming (singing), and delusion (reading far too many books). She wants to thank her cast mates, Director, Stage Manager, and everyone else who worked on this show for making it such a great production and welcoming experience!! 

Thea Elvsted

Emi is thrilled to be making her debut with Steel City Shakespeare Center! Some of her recent theatre credits include Pitt Stages' productions of Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson - Apt 2B (Watson) and Morning Reckoning (Nadia). Emi recently graduated last spring from the University of Pittsburgh! When not on stage, she can be found acting in local films, writing, and playing with her cat, Jack Jack. Emi wants to emphatically thank her cast and crew for their constant support throughout this production. Enjoy the show!

George Tesman

Samwise is thrilled to be a part of another Steel City Shakespeare Center production. You may have seen them in other Steel City Shakespeare Center productions like "Emma" and "Henry V". When not working with Steel City Samwise can be seen performing in various productions around Pittsburgh including improv shows. 

Aunt Juliana

Cashel and her family moved to Pittsburgh in February from New Orleans where she and her husband have been active in the theatre community for the past 20 years, including helping to found 30 by Ninety Theatre. She has most recently performed as Courtney in New Product Company's original play Whistleblower. Other recent roles include Mother Teresa/Mary Magdalene in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Pop in Chicago, Rhonda in Almost, Maine, Myra Bruhl in Deathtrap, and Miss Scarlet in Clue. When not on stage, she works as a director, set designer/builder, costumer, and general doer of things. These credits include Rent, The Last 5 Years, and Much Ado About Nothing. She would like to thank her husband, Adolfo, for always being her biggest cheerleader. 

Judge Brack

Frank has performed in many Pittsburgh productions over the years, mainly with the Duquesne Summer Company, Carlow College Theater Group, and the New Group Theater. Favorite roles include Dr. John Sheppard in last year's The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Jimmy in the musical A History of the American Film, and Remy Marko in Slight Case of Murder. He performed improv comedy for 33 years, most recently leading the Amish Monkeys. By day, Frank is a Standardized Patient, but has also been a Web Instructor, Game Designer, and Artist/Animator.

Eilert Lovborg

Cecilia is a senior Acting major at Point Park University and she is so excited to be joining this cast for her first production with Steel City Shakespeare! Her recent credits include Stage Manager in Our Town, Lampito/Others in Lysistrata: A Woman’s Translation, and Baba in The Trees (Pittsburgh Playhouse); Kate in Living News Festival and Shelly in Buried Child (Throughline Theatre Company); and Marley in Escape to Margaritaville (Little Lake Theatre). She’s thankful to her family for their unending love and support, and for her professors and friends who have helped her get this far. @ceciliaonfire
